Overall, I thought the assignments were interesting. I am struggling with writing a short story about the future. But I'm sure it will come. Other than that, I think that there will be a lot of things in this class that will be applicable to teaching as well as being a school library media specialist in the future.
I also think that I'll be able to relate a lot of what I am doing in my class room, with digital media technologies to the new things I will be learning in this class.
I am also curious about how meeting on line will work.

I agree that the idea of creating a story of an imagined future was difficult, but I just tried to think of something that would be interesting to others who do not know me, so maybe let the entertainer in you even tell a "tall tale."
ReplyDeleteI also think that the activities we have done so far have been engaging and that much of what we will learn in this class will be applicable to both the teaching world and the job of a school library media specialist.
As for the future story, I just try to think of the best possible scenario and work toward it. The hopes and dreams you have for you and your family or job will naturally cross into areas that others have thought of.
ReplyDeleteBeing a teacher for 14 years I have seen a change in the students. They are more dependent on visual presentation and auditory stimulus. They cannot sit and do seat work as we did. This class will help all of us to meet the needs of these students and to train teachers to do the same. I am excited as well. Stories are so important and kids need to tell theirs.
Hi, I agree with you. I liked your choice of wording when you said the assignments were interesting. I got the feeling though that the push to do so much so fast was a reflection of how the world is changing. I'm thinking that after this first week we all will be more relaxed and confident in our skills.
