I'm interested to see how the 20 slide, 20 second presentation works. I think it will be a good challenge. Overall I think it is nice to go over a presentation and apply concepts from the reading to make changes, but it is challenging.
I also HATE, how I'm having issues getting my ppts that are originally made in Keynote, to look normal on Voice Thread.
Overall, I like the application part of this class, and I think that it is good to reflect on old presentations and edit them to show growth and improvement.

ReplyDeleteI agree that I appreciate the application of this technology. I'm doing things that I can use with my students right away.
I think this was a quote in DigiTales: the illiterate of the future will not be those who cannot read and write, but those who cannot learn, unlearn, and relearn. I think right now we are struggling to unlearn what we have always done. It is incredibility challenging to to do things in a way that we are not use to doing. It makes me think about what some of my students experience.
I agree with you Caroline, what we are learning in class is applicable to the classroom or library right now! I too think that revisiting old lessons is a good way to keep our teaching fresh and exciting not only for students but for the educator as well.
ReplyDeleteFormatting issues between Macs and PCs can be very frustrating. I am not very tech savvy but will there ever be a smooth transition between the two systems? Things that make you go hmmmm....
